UAV Magnetic Survey Assists In Outlining Additional Prospective Targets For Follow-Up Investigation

In line with Hanstone’s mandate to apply modern exploration technology in historically proven mineralized zones, in the fall of 2020, Hanstone Gold Corp engaged the Axiom Exploration Group to perform a UAV Magnetic Survey (“mag survey”) over the Doc and Quinn Eskay Areas.

The results of the mag survey carried out in late 2020 are coincidental with the Doc and Q26 mineralized zones and appear to be associated with low magnetic signatures (blue). Based on the 2020 drill results, it appears that certain gold bearing mineralized structures and vein systems occur proximal to the transition between the magnetic highs and lows in these two zones.

Doc zone 2020 core drilling and historical surface sampling returned several high gold grades with assays as high as 241.89 g/t Au in surface samples and 113.7 g/t Au in drill core over 1.28 meters. Results from the 2020 drill program on the neighbouring Q26 zone also returned significant gold assays including 5.1 g/t Au over 1.97 m and 2.2 g/t Au over 6.0 meters.

The mag survey also outlined a much larger, deep seated area of low magnetic density bordered by a high magnetic area to the west currently interpreted as a possible offset extension of the Doc zone referred to as the “Doc Offset”. The significantly larger Doc Offset is one of the many potential targets to be investigated in 2021 with surface mapping, sampling, and possible drill testing.

As shown in the figure below, the Q26, Doc and the interpreted Doc Offset exhibit similar low magnetic signatures. These zones may have been part of a larger mineralized system that has been offset by strike slip faulting which is interpreted to have shifted the DOC block to the northeast. Current plans are to test this theory during the 2021 exploration program with mapping and sampling and possible drill testing of this deeper seated magnetic low occurrence.

Concurrent with the follow-up of untested mag survey areas, the 2021 drill program will focus on the Doc and Q26 zones to extend the known mineralized structures both along strike and at depth with the longer term goal of outlining an NI 43-101 compliant preliminary mineral resource on the Doc Property.

Multiple 3-hole fences will evaluate the Doc zone at depth over the known strike length. Follow up of specific target areas from the 2020 exploration program is also planned.

The Q26 vein will also be tested with approximately 5 – 3 hole fences in addition to two or more deeper tests to evaluate the vein along strike and at depth. The cross section below outlines the approximate dip of the mineralized Q26 vein and shows idealized testing along one fence of holes. A magnetic low is broadly associated with the quartz vein in both Q26 target and on the Doc zone.

Results from the UAV Magnetic Survey have assisted Hanstone Gold to strategically plan the 2021 drill program to assist in extending the known depth and strike of the mineralized horizons of the Doc and Q26 zones. The results could also be utilized in identifying additional prospective areas including the area interpreted as the “Doc Offset”.

Ray Marks, President and CEO of Hanstone stated:

“Management is pleased that the results of the UAV Magnetic Survey will assist in the planning of the 2021 exploration program. Hanstone management is also very excited to explore and test the newly interpreted Doc Offset which has a similar magnetic profile as the mineralized Doc and Q26 areas.  We are all looking forward to providing our shareholders with an exciting and successful 2021 drilling and exploration program that that is designed to further define potential mineral resources and additional targets for exploration and future development.”
